What Occupations Are In-Demand Now in Canada?
If you are interested in migrating to Canada you may have heard of in-demand occupations.
An in-demand occupation is one that is currently or is expected to experience labour shortages in the next few years. Provinces often implement several plans to address labour shortages, including offering training programs to young people in college and university. For those occupations, however, that have an acute shortage, provinces will often turn to immigration to help fill the need more immediately.
While provinces do not directly hire people in these occupations, the province will be more likely to invite applicants in these occupations to apply for permanent residency. Once the applicants become permanent residents they can connect with employers and apply to jobs in their region.
