Thousands of skilled workers in Canada invited to stay permanently
On February 13, 2021, the Government of Canada held one of the largest draws ever, inviting over 27,000 applicants through the Express Entry Draw. On February 13th, the Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada invited 27,332 Express Entry candidates to apply for permanent residence. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score cut-off threshold was 75 for the February 13, 2021 draw. Draws typically take place every two to three weeks and this draw was for the Canadian Experience Class Program. The CRS score of 75 was one of the lowest in the history of Express Entry draw.
The Canadian Experience Class program (CEC) is one of three programs in the Express Entry system where applicants can apply for permanent residence application. Applicants must have at least one year of full time Canadian work experience to qualify. Many of these foreign workers are currently living and working in Canada Â

The Express Entry Pool is one of the mechanisms the Government of Canada uses to manage the applications of people who want to apply for permanent residence. The program is for skilled workers who want to migrate to anywhere in Canada outside of Quebec. Express Entry applicants are scored on factors that include:
Age
Education
Language Ability or Skills (English or French)
Work Experience
