How the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) works
This program is for workers who:
* have the skills, education and work experience to contribute to the economy of Ontario
* want to live in Ontario, and
* want to become permanent residents of Canada
Ontario has its own “streams” meaning immigration programs that target certain groups or workers.
Human Capital Priorities Stream
The draw on August 15 targeted Express Entry candidates with work experience in one of the following occupations:
* Other administrative services managers
* Corporate sales managers
* Professional occupations in business management consulting
* Advertising, marketing and public relations managers
* Retail and wholesale trade managers
* Financial auditors and accountants
* Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses
* Financial managers
* Other financial officers
* Managers in customer and personal services
The list above represents priority occupations for Ontario.

Are you an I.T. professional?
Are you and I.T. professional? In early 2019 the Ontario Provincial government announced an exciting new provincial immigration stream aimed at attracting skilled technology workers to Ontario. This stream is a part of the Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP).
How the OINP works
This program is for workers who:
- have the skills, education and work experience

Tech Draws
Tech draws are a new Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) opportunity. The purpose is to identify I.T. Professionals in the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) Express Entry pool.
A new Ontario Tech Draw was held on Thursday, August 1 where 1,773
invitations were issued to Express Entry candidates with work experience in one
of six tech occupations and Comprehensive Ranking System scores as low as 435.
Tech Draws target Express Entry candidates with work experience in one of
six tech occupations:
- Software engineers and designers (NOC 2173)
- Computer programmers and interactive media
developers (NOC 2174)
- Computer engineers (NOC 2147)
- Web designers and developers (NOC 2175)
- Database analysts and data administrators (NOC
2172)
- Computer and information systems managers (NOC
0213)
This new dedicated tech immigration stream supports Ontario’s technology
sector in cities such as Toronto, Ottawa and Waterloo, which have all seen
significant high-tech job growth in recent years.
