New Express Entry Draw
On September 2nd, the Federal Government invited 4,200 candidates to apply for permanent residence.
The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score cut-off threshold was 475 for the September 2nd draw. Draws typically take place every two to three weeks.

Applicants are scored on factors that include:
- Age
- Education
- Language Skills (English or French)
- Work Experience
During this time, the Government of Canada is still committed to selecting top-ranked candidates and inviting them to submit an application for permanent residence.

OINP Tech Draw (PNP)
On January 15 the Ontario Government invited 954 Express Entry Tech candidates to apply for permanent residence through the PNP program! The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score cut-off threshold was 460 for the January 15 draw. This is the first draw of the year.
How the OINP works
This provincial nominee program is for workers who:
- have the skills, education and work experience to contribute to the economy of Ontario
- want to live in Ontario, and
- want to become permanent residents of Canada
Ontario has its own “streams” meaning immigration programs that target certain groups or workers.
Tech Draws
Tech Draws target Express Entry candidates with work experience in one of six tech occupations:
- Software engineers and designers (NOC 2173)
- Computer programmers and interactive media developers (NOC 2174)
- Computer engineers (NOC 2147)
- Web designers and developers (NOC 2175)
- Database analysts and data administrators (NOC 2172)
- Computer and information systems managers (NOC 0213)

In the month of October the province of Alberta invited 115 Express Entry candidates to apply for provincial nomination!

The Express Entry Pool is one of the mechanisms the Government of Canada uses to manage the applications of people who want to apply for permanent residence. Express Entry applicants are scored on factors that include:
• Age
• Education
• Language Skills (English or French)
• Work Experience
The Government of Canada frequently selects top-ranked candidates and asks them to submit an application for permanent residence.
October 2019 Draw
Provinces can also choose applicants from the Express Entry Pool. In July, the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program issued a total of 115 Notifications of Interest (NOI) to Express Entry candidates with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores as low as 350.
Applicants may receive an NOI letter if they:
• Have an active Express Entry profile in the federal Express Entry pool
• Have stated an interest in immigrating permanently to the province
• Are working in an occupation that supports the provinces economic development and diversification, and
• Have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score of 300.
If they have one or more of the following adaptability factors, this may increase their likelihood of receiving an NOI letter:
• Alberta job offer and/or work experience
• A graduate of a Canadian post-secondary institution
• A relative that is living in Alberta

In the month of October, the province of Saskatchewan invited 627 Express Entry candidates to apply for provincial nomination (SINP)!

Provinces can also choose applicants from the Express Entry Pool. In October, the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) invited 627 Express Entry candidates. Saskatchewan uses a points grid, where applicants receive points on the basis of five factors:education and training;skilled work experience;language ability;age; and,connections to the Saskatchewan labour market and adaptability. Express Entry applicants with a minimum of 68 points were invited to apply.
