The Atlantic Canada Study and Stay program helps international students to live, work and stay in the Atlantic region after graduation! The program provides students with the skills, resources and support they need to transition from student to professional in the final year of their studies. The Atlantic region in Canada is comprised of the following provinces: |

- Newfoundland and Labrador and
- Prince Edward Island

Mentorship
The managed mentorship component is an integral part of the Atlantic Canada Study and Stay™ program. Mentorship provides an opportunity for students to apply their learning, build connections, and gain a better understanding of the Canadian workplace culture and labor market opportunities.
The goal of the program is to help international graduates quickly find work in the region after graduation.
Applying for Permanent Residency
Once a student gains work experience, several provinces also have several pathways to permanent residency. One of these pathways is the Provincial Nomination Program which is tailor-made for students who want to apply for permanent residency. The Provincial Nominee Program gives qualified applicants who have worked for an employer in the Atlantic Region a potential pathway to apply for permanent residency.
Who is eligible to apply for the Study and Stay™ program?
Applicants must be in the beginning of their final-year of study and expect to graduate from their program of study. Applicants should be committed to living and working in the Atlantic Region post-graduation and demonstrate outstanding leadership or initiative on and off campus.
Chosen applicants will be expected to participate and complete all program tasks and activities—including time dedicated to a mentorship component.
