Migrate to Canada
This a question we are often asked, our answer is it depends on factors that include your:
- Age;
- Education;
- Family connections in Canada;
- Place of study and
- Work experience
For example, if you:
- Are between the ages of 21 – 45 years old you may qualify under the Morden Community Driven Immigration Initiative
- Have an Associate’s Degree or higher you may qualify under the Federal Skilled Worker/Express Entry pathway
- Have a relative in Manitoba you may qualify under the Human Capital Pathway
- Studied in Canada you may qualify under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program
- Are a writer, an employer in British Columbia can nominate you under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program
So how long does it take to apply for permanent residency?
That depends on the pathway you choose, for example if you studied in Canada, it may take you 4 years of studying and working in Canada to eligible for permanent residency; whereas if you chose the Express Entry pathway it may take you between 6 to 12 months to receive a decision on your permanent residency application.
