Manitoba’s PNP Welcomes Skilled Workers and International Students
On June 26, the MPNP extended invitations to apply for provincial nomination to skilled foreign professionals and international students with ties to Manitoba. These individuals were selected for their potential to enhance Manitoba’s workforce and successfully integrate into the province.

On June 26, MPNP conducted two draws: one targeting the International Education Stream (IES) and another for skilled worker categories.
International Education Stream (IES)
Under the IES, the MPNP issued 478 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs). Eligible candidates needed to meet all IES criteria and have a Manitoba supporter, who is a close relative. This supporter must be a Canadian permanent resident or citizen, already established in Manitoba for a minimum of one year. Close relatives could be a sibling, parent, niece, nephew, aunt, uncle, first cousin, or grandparent. Candidates must provide documentation verifying the relationship and the Supporter’s residency period in the province. If these criteria are not met, candidates are advised to consider declining their LAA. Manitoba supporters also need to submit a settlement plan and residency evidence with the candidate’s application.
Skilled Worker Streams
In the Skilled Worker Stream, 14 candidates were invited, either through the Skilled Worker in Manitoba or Skilled Worker Overseas categories. Eligibility required candidates to declare their invitation via a strategic recruitment initiative and achieve a minimum score of 712. These initiatives included:
- Employer Services: 5 Invitations
- Francophone Community: 5 Invitations
- Regional Communities: 3 Invitations
- Ethnocultural Communities: 1 Invitation
