| British Columbia PNP Tech Draw On February 23rd the British Columbia Government invited 80 tech candidates to apply for permanent residence. Candidates needed a minimum provincial score of 75. How the BC PNP Tech Draw works This provincial nominee program is for workers in the technology sector with a job offer who: – have the skills, education and work experience to contribute to the economy of British Columbia, – want to live in British Columbia, and – want to become permanent residents of British Columbia British Columbia has its own “streams” meaning immigration programs that target certain groups or workers. Tech Draws BC PNP Tech Draws target Express Entry and Skills Immigration candidates with a job offer in one of twenty-nine tech occupations that include: • Audio and video recording technicians • Authors and writers • Biological technologists and technicians • Broadcast technicians • Chemical engineers • Civil engineers • Computer and information systems managers • Computer engineers (except software engineers and designers) • Computer network technicians • Computer programmers and interactive media developers • Database analysts and data administrators • Editors • Electrical and electronics engineering technologists and technicians • Electrical and electronics engineers • Electronic service technicians (household and business equipment) • Graphic designers and illustrators • Industrial instrument technicians and mechanics • Information systems analysts and consultants • Information systems testing technicians • Managers – publishing, motion pictures, broadcasting and performing arts • Mechanical engineers • Other technical and co-ordinating occupations in motion pictures, broadcasting and the performing arts • Software engineers and designers • Support occupations in motion pictures, broadcasting and photography • Technical sales specialists – wholesale trade • Telecommunication carriers managers • Translators, terminologists and interpreters • User support technicians • Web designers and developers |
