Alberta Express Entry Draws
In the month of June, the province of Alberta invited 191 Express Entry candidates to apply for provincial nomination.
Federal Express Entry system
The Express Entry Pool is one of the mechanisms the Government of Canada uses to manage the applications of people who want to apply for permanent residence.
Express Entry applicants are scored on factors that include:
- Age
- Education
- Language Skills (English or French)
- Work Experience
The Government of Canada frequently selects top-ranked candidates and asks them to submit an application for permanent residence.
June 2021 Draw
Provinces can also choose applicants from the Express Entry Pool. In June, the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program issued a total of 191 Notifications of Interest (NOI) to Express Entry candidates with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores as low as 300
Applicants may receive an NOI letter if they:
- Have an active Express Entry profile in the federal Express Entry pool
- Have stated an interest in immigrating permanently to Alberta
- Are working in an occupation that supports Alberta’s economic development and diversification, and
- Have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score of 300.
If they have one or more of the following adaptability factors, this may increase their likelihood of receiving an NOI letter:
- Alberta job offer and/or work experience
- A graduate of a Canadian post-secondary institution
- A relative that is living in Alberta
